I was at the Festival "Retours vers le Futur" from March 27th to 29th to present two short films for which I composed the original soundtrack as part of Cinésia's Kino Rétro 2026:
“Bagage” by Perle Huvelin and “Temps qu’on peut encore” by Amaury Blot.
For its 20th edition, the festival explores "Journeys and Other Paths": distant explorations, perspectives on the world, detours through history, and the byways of contemporary creation. BAGAGE - Perle Huvelin
An organic film centered on memory: a multitude of colors representing a multitude of intertwined recollections. A layered, textured landscape blending stop-motion, archival footage, samples, and glitches. "Bagage" traverses the pathways of memory within a Technicolor space-time where everything overlaps, the past streaming by the window.
For Bagage, I conceived the music as a series of small audio puzzle pieces to be cut, shaped, and reversed, mirroring the film’s own form—a blend of archival footage and stop-motion.
